The Dog Days of July

***edit: I just realized that my last two posts have the same title. Unintentional, whoops.

Ah! I can't believe it's the end of July already! that's insane! I know I probably sound like a broken record here, but I really haven't posted a lot this month. During the year I would always think about how much more time I'll have for this blog during the summer. But it's just been busy, busy, busy! For a small smattering every week I am not home, so I can't post. And then I get home I just feel like doing nothing. Haha sounds kind of lazy, right? I guess it's better than last year though, I only posted twice! It makes my summers seem so uneventful, right? Really it's quite on the contrary. For all this summer I've been doing quite a bit of traveling, leaving me with little free time at home. Anyway, for the remainder of this delightful summer (remainder, twitch.), I'm going to attempt to post much more often for you lovely followers, and for more to look back on later. Maybe that's the reason I don't post too often during the year, I always seem to remember my summer's so vividly. Or maybe, I just remember certain parts vividly? Well, ya never know I guess.

On a style note, this dress is still one of my favorite dresses. Unfortunately, I think it might be on it's last legs. It's in fine condition, but, if you haven't noticed it's a smidge short. I think I can still pull it off with tights, leggings and such. With bare legs though, I think this might be it's last summer. Maybe I'll have to look for a new polka-dotted dress? I'm always on the lookout for polka-dot's, but I'm very reluctant to let go of this dress, it's so light for the summers, it works great with layers, plus it's fun to twirl in! Always a good quality to look for in a dress!

The Dog Days of July

Lately I've been noticing that, even though it is not August, SO much fall back-to-school stuff is being advertised. Magazines, websites, summer sales! It's all a tad ridiculous if I do say so myself. I understand putting out fall stuff in mid-late August, but a bit after mid JULY seems a bit early. This also was the case with spring and summer clothes, they'd put them out in February, when it is SNOWING. In the middle of the summer I really don't like finding myself thinking about back-to-school shopping and the first day of school. I find myself thinking about the fall, and by the end stifiling heat of the summer, that will be welcome. But now, I'd like to live in the moment, and just think about the lovely hot (and not so lovely) summer days.

In the meantime, here are some delightful black and white photos that are currently inspiring me. All photos from Enjoy.

Beachy Keen

Hello everybody! When I was at the beach, a good friend and I took a short walk down to the beach front and here are some lovely photos she took of me. I would post the ones that I took of her, but I don't have her permission.

Recently after the aquiring my new camera I have developed a problem with the width of the photos I am editing. The wide photos have started to appear wider and the long photos narrower. SO if you notice a slight difference in width in the photos, don't be too surprised. Oh well, I guess I figure out the problem later.

Top-Target//Shorts-Delias Here are my last pictures from my week at the beach. Sorry it took so long to upload them. Enjoy.

Harry Potter

Ever since I was very young, I have memories of going out with the whole fam and seeing the new Harry Potter movie coming out at the time. Now that time seems to have passed. After a few years of seeing the Harry Potter movies before I read the books, I thought myself to finally be old enough and have a high enough reading level to handle reading them before I saw the movies. If I am remembering correctly the first one I read before the movie was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I've been doing the same ever since. When the last book came out, I was sad, yes, but not extremely so, I knew there were several more movies to come out in theatres. But here I am 4 years later not being able to say the same thing.

Two nights ago now I went to go see the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II. Due to it being the last movie, I convinced my Mom to come with me and a few friends of mine to the theatre at midnight. Actually we arrived about 2 hours early. The theatre location was filled, 25 movie theatres all playing one movie, we all sold out. When we arrived we began to see those who really went ALL OUT on their costumes (my favorite was Bellatrix!), and I couldn't help but think how amazing it was that someone could create this phenomenon, an entirely new society and culture. How could this possibly come to someone, it amazes me every time.

After about two hours of waiting, every theatre filled, the movie began. I couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness, that this would be the last beginning, but I didn't venture this thought until later. Every conflict closing, each line ending... Though I had just reread the book, and there was little surprise for me, I couldn't help but cry when the characters cried, and so on. But nothing compares to the last minute of the movie, everybody knew it was about to end. It didn't really hit me though to the last second, a sadness overwhelmed me and my eyes filled with tears. The screen then went black and it was about to go to the credits when someone said_ "What do we do now?". Though everybody in the theatre laughed (I was funny!) I am sure that just about everyone in the theatre agreed with this man, what do we do now?

After all of these past years of upcoming excitement, I feel so sad to say I will never see a new Harry Potter movie again. That was it. Though it was amazing, it was sad and any true fan I'm sure will say the same. Harry Potter has literally influenced my entire life. It came to America the year I was born and I remember seeing every movie in theatres since the time I was about three. I heard someone say today "Avada Kadavra to my childhood." I agree. So now I have to say, Thank you. Thank you Harry Potter for being around all of these years to make me laugh, make me cry, entertain me, and teach me lessons. Hopefully this will be one of those movies that will be a legend when I have children, and they'll have the same connection to it as me and many others. Thanks again.

another Harry Potter fan

p.s. My first though to answer the question "what do we do now" would be the Hunger Games. But nothing will ever be the same.

Happy 10th of July!

Bag-Vintage//Top-Kohls//Skirt-H&MHappy 10th of July everybody! I know it's a tad late (6 days to be exact) but I figured I would post anyway! Due to lack of Internet access down by the beach, I have not been able to post for the last week (with the exception of yesterday). When I was there I really didn't do too many outfit shoots, really just this one and one other. I would have taken more but I felt as if people were staring at me thinking "Why is she taking pictures of herself, that's very self-centered..". I always hate taking pictures in front of people, I think that they think I"m very odd, and not too many people I know, know that I have a blog, therefore I don't really want them asking questions.
Most of my blog life actually, has been attempted to be kept private to most of the people I know. Except for my Parents, my Aunt and a very good friend of mine who briefly dabbled in the blog-o-sphere, no one else I know, knows that I have a blog. I don't know why I wanted it to turn out in such a way, but even with the people I know, whenever I talk about blogging I feel very odd almost like they're not sure what I"m talking about exactly. At some point in the future I really look forward to meeting other bloggers, so we can geek out about blog stuff together! Plus I think it would be very interesting to meet people in real life that you only e-know. I always hear other bloggers speaking about how well they get along with other bloggers... yada yada... I just hope I have the priveledge to meet and possibly befriend another blogger someday. But for now I think I'm just a youngster kid at a little blog. :)

New Camera!

Hello everyone, it's been quite a while since I've posted here on What A Wonderful Weardrobe!Every summer it seems, I go a-wall for quite some time. Well anyway, though this was quite a few weeks ago now I got a new camera! Nikon DSLR D3100, I'm not sure if I put all of that information in order properly, but oh well. I think you catch my drift

So, here is my first outfit shoot with my new camera (which were taken about a week or two after I recieved the camera) due to my tripod. Actually, now I'm using my dad's tripod because mine wasn't sturdy enough for such a heavy camera. So yeah or nay? DO you think that the photos are a better quality?
.As the summer progresses,I'm foreseeing that my outfits will get simpler and simpler each post, which is kind of strange if you think about it. I feel as if all year I've been talking about how amazing it will be to be able to wear dresses and skirts without tights, but it's just a lot more convienent wearing shorts sometimes!
