I've never really believed in the saying silence is louder than words. Quite the contrary really. Not just literally but also metaphorically. Though I'm quite a loud and chattery person, sometimes I just enjoy quiet. Never too quite, but two people sitting together in silence can be peaceful at times. Though it is possible to understand someone's face through silence, it doesn't make silence loud. It just makes someone particularly good at expressing their feelings through facial expression.
